Learning Outcomes

  1. Prepare, present, and evaluate informative and persuasive public speeches for a variety of audiences on a variety of topics.
  2. Develop an ethical approach to audiences and topics.
  3. Structure speeches using various organizational patterns.
  4. Develop appropriate and effective oral language use.
  5. Demonstrate confidence as a speaker through practiced and effective delivery techniques, emphasizing extemporaneous delivery.
