Geography of Ecotourism examines physical and cultural attributes of countries and regions in the context of tourism. A general emphasis provides a broad overview of tourism around the world, but the majority of the instruction deals with the examination of ecotourism from a thematic viewpoint so that practitioners can learn to identify geographic locations with specific attractions and apply concepts so as to construct activities in any country.   1. Identify ecotourism venues as they relate to biomes and biodiversity.
  2. Extrapolate ecotourism from the traditional tourism landscape.
  3. Develop, plan, and market ecotourism expeditions and comprehend the relationships between geography and travel.
  4. Apply concepts in cultural/human geography to ecotourism.
  5. Evaluate potential new sources for ecotourism in South Florida, The Caribbean, Latin and South America.
