Grants and Scholarships

To support talented performing and visual arts students, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences offers talent-based performing and visual arts grants and scholarships for qualified, eligible students.

Eligibility

The performing and visual arts grants and scholarships, awarded on a yearly basis, are available to current eligible, qualified students. Please review the specific eligibility requirements of the various performing and visual arts grants and scholarships published on the college's Scholarships and Grants page.

Auditions are held in the Performing and Visual Arts Wing of the Don Taft University Center, NSU's main campus.

Audition Information

Dance - Students will participate in a modern dance master class and perform a one minute solo in the style of their choice.

Music – Students should prepare two pieces in contrasting styles that best demonstrate musical ability.

Musical Theatre – Students should prepare one song and one monologue.

Theatre – Students should prepare two contrasting monologues or one monologue and one song.

Sharkestra Pep BandSight reading ability will be assessed during the audition. Some scales may be required.
