Academic Advising—Transfer Credits
Prior to attending Nova Southeastern University, you may have already earned credits toward your degree. If you seek to transfer credits from another institution, you are encouraged to submit your official transcripts as soon as possible. A final and official evaluation will not be initiated until NSU recieves all of your official transcripts. You may want to speak to your academic advisor for more information or visit the Transfer Evaluation Services Web site.
Previously completed coursework
NSU welcomes undergraduate students who have earned college credits at other colleges and universities. Courses will be individually reviewed by the appropriate faculty member to determine NSU equivalency. Students should contact their academic advisor to find out how these credits will be applied to their majors.
Articulation Agreements
NSU maintains articulation agreements with Florida's community colleges, several independent two-year colleges, and other public and independent institutions. Transfer agreements are also available, based upon faculty review, for non-regionally accredited institutions that offer limited equivalent courses. Because these agreements are evaluated annually, students should contact an admissions counselor for specific information and a list of current agreements.
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Equivalents
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses offer high school students an opportunity to take challenging, college-level courses and earn credits toward their undergraduate degrees. NSU awards credit for successful AP/IB work. To qualify, students must provide official high school transcripts that note AP or IB exam scores.
