The sociology minor at the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences is intended to provide students with an overview of sociology. It covers social processes and change in a variety of arenas, including families, work, gender, and communities. Students minoring in both family studies and sociology may have no more than two sociology courses in common. This minor can be combined with any major and minor except the sociology major.

Students must select 9 credits in any sociology (SOCL) courses at the 3000/4000 level.
