Master of Arts in Writing Program
Students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Writing program at the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences build backgrounds in both professional and creative writing. The program allows students to develop specialized writing skills in areas such as business, technical, and journalistic writing. Students prepare for careers in writing, publishing, and education; to write professionally for magazines, newspapers, and businesses; and to pursue a variety of Ph.D. programs of study.

The Master of Arts in Writing program's diverse range of courses enables students to explore a variety of creative and professional writing genres in small classes with faculty who are writers themselves. Faculty work to provide students with opportunities that go beyond the classroom, as well.
