Certificate programs are pursued by both undergraduate students and professionals seeking postbaccalaureate education and skills development. Offered by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, these programs are designed so students may pursue them without interruption of their professional work schedules. Most certificate programs include a combination of on-campus and online classes that best fit student schedules.

The college's certificate programs are available to students pursuing major programs in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences and full-time professionals who desire more training to enhance their current jobs and advance in their careers. Students enrolled in the college's certificate programs are considered degree-seeking within their declared certification specialty and are eligible to apply for financial aid.

Why Earn a Certification?

Careers in quickly evolving fields, such as computer information systems, may require employees to have professional certification to keep abreast of developing technologies. Some careers, such as those in the legal fields or in social work, may require professional certification as part of that field's accreditation process.
