Your work-related knowledge might have already earned you credits toward a degree!
Because Nova Southeastern University recognizes that much learning takes place outside the classroom, we have established a prior learning program that allows undergraduate students to earn credits in addition to college class credit hours. Students must initiate any and all prior learning requests, as well as examinations for credit, before they complete 24 credits at Nova Southeastern University. Approved prior learning credits will be reflected on the student’s transcript after 12 credits are successfully completed.
The four mechanisms for NSU students to convert their prior experiences into college credit are:
- CLEP/DANTES/COMPUTER SCIENCE TEST-OUT
- Nationally Accredited School Portfolio
- Full Portfolio – Course Challenge
- Standard Grants
Students who explore the above options will likely find that the prior learning opportunity allows them to review past achievements and better organize their future. This promises to be a rewarding educational experience.
